Honestly, I get the whole ‘privacy and battery life’ vibe, but before you go nuking your location services completely, maybe think about tweaking it instead. Sure, @caminantenocturno gave you the full-off roadmap (and yeah, it works fine if you want to just slam the door shut on everything), but have you considered just managing the apps instead? Like, some apps legit need location to work well—Google Maps without it is kinda like walking around blindfolded.
Go back into Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services, like they said—but instead of flipping the master switch, scroll down and you’ll see a list of apps. Tap on 'em. You’ll see options like ‘Never,’ ‘Ask Next Time,’ ‘While Using the App,’ or ‘Always.’ Most of the time, ‘While Using the App’ works great, so an app only pings your location when it’s open.
Also, have you checked out System Services at the very bottom of that Location Services menu? Apple’s tracking stuff like your compass calibration, time zone, or even “Significant Locations” (creepy, right?). You can turn all that off too. And if saving battery is your thing, consider disabling “Location-Based Suggestions” or “Wi-Fi Networking.”
Just saying, you don’t have to go full shutdown. It’s more like you’re the bouncer for your own data. Let the trusted apps in, kick the sketchy ones out. That way, you’re saving battery without totally breaking stuff you might need.
